| The Singing Stones |

These stones hold the spirits of the ancients. Each has its own voice. It is said that when a correct tune is played, special powers are unleashed. When the stones are tapped the spirit sings. Few people know the melodies. You may meet them, or discover the melodies for yourself.
The Stones are arranged in a scale, and there are three melodies you can play. Two of them, as the Indian tells you, can be learned from people. If you wonder the land with Villager Details on, you will find two actors, both pipers, who will be playing the tunes.
If you have a musical ear, this hint should make it fairly easy. I think the third tune qualifies as an Easter Egg, seeing as, if there is a piper playing it, I can’t find him. You have to play all three tunes to complete this Challenge 100%. The solutions that follow number the stones 1 to 9, going from left to right. |
| Ah! vous dirai-je, maman |
Otherwise known as Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, the composer is unknown. Play this tune first, as it activates the other two.

| Marche Funébre: Lento |
Otherwise known as Piano Sonata No.2, B flat minor, Op.35, third movement, or the Funeral March. Composed by Chopin.

| White Christmas |
Less classical, this song is by Irving Berlin.
2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
This is likely an Easter Egg, as the reward for playing it is purely cosmetic, and there doesn’t seem to be an in-game way to find it. The story goes that on the Lionhead boards, webmaster Jamie Durrant made a musical navigation bar, where every button had a different tone. Someone tried White Christmas and received the message, “Hey, I was thinking of a white christmas too!”. |
