  • [301101] [Context Sensitive Menus] Context-sensitive menus are new menus players can use to access the various functionalities available on creatures and NPCs, such as accessing the shopkeeper interface, being trained by an NPC, ordering a pet to attack, or opening your bank box from a banker.
  • [230701] Vendor Changes, including changes to vendor fees and rent, adjustments to the restocking process, and a new buy/sell gump.
  • [160301] Changes to how Player-Owned Vendors function.
  • [13102k] Double-clicking a vendor you own will now bring up a window offering two options: “Customize” and “See Goods”.
Provisioners Vendors
  • To get a vendor, you need to purchase a “Contract of Employment” from an NPC Innkeeper or NPC Tavernkeeper. A Contract costs ±1,500 gold.
  • You can only place a vendor in a house you own, co-own or are friended to. Stand in the spot you want your vendor to be and double-click the Contract. A vendor will appear where you are standing.
  • When first placed, a vendor will have 1,000 gold in his account. The gender, skin colour and name of your vendor is random.
  • To move a vendor, you need to have the owner removed from the friend or co-owner list of the house. The owner can then redeed the vendor by emptying her backpack and using the “vendor, status” command.
  • To delete a vendor from your house, you need to have the owner removed from the friend or co-owner list of the house and then call a GM. The GM will move the vendor outside the house for her owner to pick up her items and gold. A GM will only do this at the request of the house owner, not co-owners.
  • A vendor’s ownership is specific to the character that placed her. Should you delete the character, the gold and items on that vendor cannot be recovered. You can call a GM to remove the vendor from your house.
  • A vendor will take her fee from her purse first and, when her purse is empty, from the money she is holding for you. Note that should her purse be empty, she may disappear at any time, so it is best to make sure that her purse is sufficiently full. To fill her purse, drop gold directly on her. She will not take her fees from gold in her inventory or from your bankbox.
  • A vendor’s base fee is 20gp for up to 500gp of merchandise. After that, she charges 1gp per additional 500gp worth of items. Thus, for 10,000gp worth of items, she will charge 20 + ([10,000 - 500] / 500) = 39gp per cycle. Each cycle is 8 hours of real time, roughly 3 times per 24 hours, depending on how long the shard is down for server maintenance. Be sure to check “vendor, status” before you log-out.
  • [Changed 230701] A vendor charges five times as much in fees if you are a murderer.
  • Once your vendor’s fees become increased because you are a murderer, the fee will always remain increased regardless of your current murderer status. You will need to replace the vendor to get normal fees again.
Provisioners Vendor Fees [230701]
  • Vendors will now need to be paid every 8 hours (real time).
  • The vendor fee will be calculated as: (combined value of all objects on vendor (either their true value or the value set by the player, whichever is higher)/500) + 20.
  • If the vendor’s owner is a murderer, the rent will be calculated as: rent = rent × number of owner’s murder counts.
  • If a vendor is on Siege Perilous, the rent is multiplied by three (this is cumulative with the above values).
  • Thus, if you have no murder counts, are not playing on Siege Perilous, and you have 0 items on the vendor, your rent is 20 gp per 8 hours of real time.
  • If your vendor holds items valued at 1000 gold, the fee is (1000/500)+20, which equals 22 gold per 8 hours of real time.
  • If a player has not paid the vendor fee, or rent, the vendor will take the rent fee out of the money it has earned from sales. If the rent has not been paid and there is no money left from sales, the vendor will destroy itself, along with any goods on the vendor at that time.
Provisioners Vendor Commands
  • Say the name of the Vendor or “Vendor”, followed by the command.
  • Except for “Browse” and “Buy”, only the owner of the vendor may give her commands.
