Hint	Use the Inscription skill to create scrolls of spells. 1. To create a spell scroll you must have the correct reagents for that spell. 2. Left-click on the button next to the skill name. 3. Left-click on the spell to be inscribed. 4. Click on a blank scroll. 5. SUCCESS: You have copied a spell onto the scroll. (You must have the skill to cast the spell in order to inscribe it.)

[UOR] The effectiveness of the defensive spells Reactive Armor and Protection are determined by the caster’s Evaluate Intelligence, Meditation, and Inscription skills.
[09032k] Inscription is not affected by the Anti-Macro changes to Skill Gain.

The chance of success of casting from a scroll is the same as that of casting a spell two Circles lower. A mage who is able to cast the 4^th Circle spell Recall will be able to use the 6^th Circle scroll Mark with the same chance of success and same chance of magery gain.
When failing to use a scroll, however, the scroll is not consumed, and mana is not expanded.
Besides success rate and gain of the magery skill, all effects are as per spell, including mana cost.

[10072k] The inscription skill will now check for a spellbook in the hands of a player attempting to scribe, before looking in their backpack.
[10072k] Failing to scribe a scroll will no longer result in mana loss.
Note that the requirements for scribing a Circle is based on your Magery, not Inscription. A Grandmaster Scribe will still be unable to scribe scrolls of the 8^th Circle if he is not also an Adept Mage.
You must have the spell you intend to scribe in your spellbook, and the reagents necessary to cast it.
The blank scroll and the reagents necessary to casting the spell are expanded whether or not the inscription attempt proves successful.
