- [301101] Spell damage will now disturb your meditation.
- [UOR] The effectiveness of the defensive spells Reactive Armor and Protection are determined by the caster’s Evaluate Intelligence, Meditation, and Inscription skills.
- [09032k] Secondary Skill Gain :: Meditation can raise whenever mana is regenerated.
- Meditation is difficulty-based. The difficulty level is calculated based upon (Int. - current mana)%. Hence, a character with 100 Int. and 0 mana will need GM meditation to succeed, while a character with 50 Int. and 10 mana will need 40 meditation to succeed.
- The best range to gain skill is between (90 - meditation) to (120 - meditation).
- The speed with which you recover your mana is determined by three factors:
- Your Meditation
- Your Intelligence
- The type of armour you are wearing
- Passive Meditation indicates the speed with which you recover mana normally, without using the meditation skill.
- The slowest rate of 1 mana every 7 seconds applies to characters in full plate armour or with 0 Int. and 0 meditation.
- The fastest rate of 1 mana every second applies to characters dressed in cloth and with 100 Int. and 100 meditation.
- Active Meditation indicates the speed with which you recover mana while using the meditation skill. To use the skill,
- Your hands must be holding a spellbook or be empty, as with casting a spell or using a scroll.
- You must not be wearing too much armour.
- You must not be drunk.
- If your skill check passes, “You enter a meditative trance” and recover mana at twice the normal speed.
- Once you start meditating, you cannot use any item, equip or unequip any item, speak or move. You may move items around.
- Metal armour slows down your meditation rate and may prevent your from using the skill. If you want to wear armour at all, try different combinations to figure out what works best for you.
