The Thieves’ Guild
- You can only steal from other players if you are a member of the Thieves’ Guild. (Used to be able to steal from reds, grays, members of your guild and members of warring guilds. Before the Thieves’ Guild was formed you could steal from anyone.)
- A player can reveal you as a member of the Thieves’ Guild by using Forensic Eval..
- To join the guild, you need to find a Thief Guildmaster and ask him to “join”.
- Like all NPC guilds, your character needs to pay a fee of 500 gold and must be at least a week old.
- You need 60 Stealing to be eligible.
- [UOR] You will not be removed from the Thieves’ Guild if you receive a murder count. (Used to be if you are reported for murder, you will be ejected from the guild and cannot rejoin for one week.)
- Once you join the guild, you cannot leave for one week, unless ejected from the guild.
- Members of the Thieves’ Guild cannot report murders, and thus could be considered “freely attackable” anywhere in the world (except in justice regions, unless they steal from another player).
a disguise kit
- Members of the Thieves’ Guild may purchase a disguise kit by finding a Thief Guildmaster and asking him for a “disguise” kit.
- He will reply “That particular item costs 700 gold.” Give him the gold to purchase the Disguise Kit.
- Double-click the kit to use it. Characters not in the Thieves’ Guild may not use the kit.
- After selecting a hair style, your character will be given a random name ((one of those given to NPCs)) and the hair style you have chosen.
- Your hair will be pure white. You may use hair dye to change its colour.
- Disguises wear off after two hours.
